Objectives

"My personal aim is to further increase my knowledge. The challenge for Stork is to make optimal use of the available knowledge in the company, and to apply it in our customer relationships. It's important to embed knowledge in the organization in a structured and standardized way, but the diversity we have in terms of knowledge, expertise and experience has to contribute to ensuring that we continue to evolve. Finding the right balance between company and individual development and building up knowledge; that's the challenge. It's what strengthens you as a company in general, and as a knowledge center in particular."

Manufacturing company

Together with the operational management, we drew up a maintenance strategy for a company with several plants. The mission, vision and goals of maintenance were identified and shared on a company-wide basis. The processes and organization were defined in accordance with the goals. Achieving a reliable maintenance function has led to a significant reduction of the manufacturing costs per unit of product.

Energy industry

This involved defining and setting up a totally new maintenance organization for a company in the energy industry, with the ability to carry out maintenance right from the moment that a new installation becomes operational. Key attention points were defining maintenance concepts, setting up a maintenance information system, organizing knowledge transfer, defining spare part stocks, contracting third parties and setting up and staffing the operational maintenance organization.

Manufacturing industry

For a manufacturing company, the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance were improved by implementing a plant-output measurement methodology and a workflow process. By recognizing the importance of cultural aspects and carefully taking them into account in the implementation of best practices, these changes in working methods make a successful and sustainable contribution to the operational result.
