Commercial and industrial boilers operate at their best when the incoming boiler feed water is free from dissolved gasses.  Dissolved oxygen causes severe corrosion damage to boiler internals, causing the risk of malfunction, decreased reliability, and even significant safety issues.

SwirlFlash® Technology

More power. Lower NOx emissions. These are the benefits customers can anticipate by using Stork Technical Services’ patented SwirlFlash® technology for their gas turbine

SwirlFlash is a gas turbine inlet cooling technology that uses hot pressurized water to obtain tiny droplets, which behave like aerosols. When injected into the compressor, the evaporation rate is extremely high and blade impact is avoided. During the evaporation process of the droplet the gas turbine inlet will be cooled resulting in an increase of gas turbine output and lower NOx emission at the same time.
Stork Technical Services provides Swirlflash on a turn-key base, resulting in:

  • 15% power increase with the same gas turbine
  • NOx reducation of up to 40% on a regular gas turbine
  • NOx reducation of up to 20% on a dry low NOx gas turbine
  • Power increase available within 15 - 30 seconds

SwirlFlash technology is the result of Stork Technical Services’ dedication to research and development leading to innovative solutions for costly problems.
