Ronan T. Mooney

Ronan MooneyRonan Mooney is Executive Vice President Corporate Development, and Member of the Executive Management Team for Stork Technical Services, a $1.5 billion corporation offering maintenance management and overhaul services to the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Power industries.

In this role, Ronan is responsible for the strategic planning process and the formation of and implementation of strategy for STS with a particular focus on industry segments and business lines. He is responsible for strengthening the company’s portfolio through enhancing key customer relationships, building long term supplier relationships and sustaining a strong image and corporate brand. He also leads the team on acquisitions and divestments within STS.

Ronan started his career in the energy sector after earning his Master’s Degrees , with honors, from Trinity College Dublin, in Marketing and Law and in Banking & Finance from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin.

He joined Schlumberger in 1992, and over a 10 year period, held roles of increasing responsibility within Finance, Business Development and General Management before his departure in 2002. At Schlumberger Ronan jointly established the business activities of Schlumberger Resource Management Services and Electronic Transactions in the markets of the former Soviet Union, in particular in Russia and the Ukraine, setting the stage for revenue to grow from a green-field start in 1994 to a sustainable business with a net income of over 10%.

Ronan was with Halliburton from 2002 until coming to Stork in 2009. Working within the Drilling & Evaluation division of Halliburton his accomplishments, at a regional level, included leadership roles based in Russia for both the software and consulting activities of Landmark and drilling services with Sperry. Ronan also had the opportunity to lead a global mergers and acquisitions team based in Houston that closed a number of  cross-border transactions that included both acquisitions in the US & Russia and divestitures in Asia.

Ronan was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, is married and has two sons. He now resides in The Netherlands.
